The 30-year-old actress opens up about how fans gave Klaroline life and what’s ahead of them on the final season of the show.
“Julie Plec always had a very clear idea of what she wanted for Caroline and Klaus together,” she explains. “It wasn’t exactly always in line with what the fans wanted for those characters…she wrote very important moments that she wanted for those characters, but I think she also gave a lot to the fans and what they wanted to see.”
For the final season of The Originals, fans “gave life” to a relationship that they’ve “wanted for so long”.
Candice also admits that her five-episode appearances were originally only supposed to be one.
“When Vampire ended, it was just supposed to be a quick little pop-in to say goodbye to the Caroline and Klaus storyline for the fans,’ she says. “We all felt that it would be really significant and important for anyone who supported – or ‘shipped’ as the kids say – those two together.”
But, it all changed over one dinner.
“One thing led to another, as it usually does with Julie and I. A couple bottles of wine later and I’m in five episodes of the show.”
The Originals returns on Wednesday, April 18th on The CW.
It’s been more than four years since Klaus Mikaelson and Caroline Forbes have appeared together on screen — not counting that Vampire Diaries phone call, of course — so fans are understandably eager for the duo’s reunion in the upcoming final season of The Originals.
The Originals officially wrapped production on its series finale in Atlanta earlier this week, but a few key scenes still needed to be shot in the show’s homeland of New Orleans.
I have added the missing photos from events Candice has attended this past year to the gallery. Enjoy!
Hey guys! I know it’s been a long time since the site has been updated but I just wanted to post a quick little thing letting you know that after careful consideration, Candice King Online will indeed be continued. I have been very busy this last few months because it is my last year of college for my bachelor’s degree and that has taken a lot of my attention so I was not able to update any of my sites. I thought about it a lot, especially this last month, and I decided that I will only be keeping one site and that one will be this one. CKO was a site I took on as a passion project of sorts since I love Candice so much and I felt that this is the one I would feel saddest about giving up.
I have uploaded some missing event photos to the gallery and will also have new layouts for the main page and the gallery up in the next few days or so because I feel like the site needs a nice refresher. Thank you so much for your patience!
